Alex Scott is in fine form in midfield, while winger Rayan looks ready to take the league by storm.
Brentford are a very dangerous side but were second-best in last week’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland.
Keith Andrews’ side lost 10 of their 19 league away games last season, so an odds-against price for them to go down in another is a Premier League betting price worth taking.
Southampton to beat Bristol City
Southampton are an outstanding home team, winning their three Championship matches at St Mary’s this season 3-1, 5-1 and 3-1.
That run includes victories over promotion hopefuls Millwall and Swansea, so another victory over Bristol City looks a good bet.
The Robins are in good form, winning their last three games to move up to seventh in the embryonic league table.
Saints away is arguably the toughest match in the division, though, and that run is unlikely to extend any further.
Blackpool to beat Bromley
Blackpool have made a solid start to life at home this season, taking four points from their first two games – including a 4-0 win over Peterborough.
Our confidence in them this weekend is much more about their opposition, though, who are struggling in the third tier.
Bromley are new to this level and, truthfully, look it, losing their last three games 7-2, 5-0 and 2-0.
It’s going to be a huge ask for Andy Woodman’s side to avoid relegation and Saturday’s hosts should fancy their chances.
MK Dons to beat Peterborough
MK Dons are still winless in five league matches this season but have only lost one, and they will surely come out on the right side of a result soon.
The Dons invested heavily in their squad over the summer and, in Paul Warne, have a manager very used to achieving success at this level.
Peterborough have lost their last two away games 2-0 and 4-0, only winning once – at home to Mansfield – in five league games.
Luke Williams’ side look poor defensively and the Dons should take advantage for their first league win of the season.
Sheffield Wednesday to beat Wigan
Sheffield Wednesday are rampant at the top of League One, winning five of their six league matches so far this season.
The Owls have knocked out back-to-back away wins in the last 10 days, having hammered Bromley 7-2 in their last home game.
Barry Bannan is pulling the strings in midfield, while Kieran Morrison and Callum Slattery supply the ammunition for a forward line featuring experienced striker Jamal Lowe.
Wigan have lost both of their away games so far this season and are unlikely to be able to cope.
